Poker contribution for Haiti

The online poker community has raises almost $1.5 million for those who have been ravaged by the earthquake in Haiti. This news has been released by the Pokers Players Alliance.

According to the Chairman of the PPA Alfonse D’Amato, who had also sent out his best wishes to Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars as well as Cake Poker mostly for, “providing poker players across the globe an easy way to make a contribution?
He further added saying, “The generous online poker players are showing makes me even more proud to be part of this community.”

The PPA community had around 50,000 players who donated generously for the relief fun and collected a huge amount of $760,000. Apart form this they also issues a promise got from other poker sites so that they would match each dollar that is donated, and helps raise the online poker community donation to over $1.5 million.

The three poker websites had infact put up special pages so that players would donate to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Full Tilt and Cake Poker were also responsible for hosting tournaments where there registration fees collected was donated directly to the various charities working for Haiti.

This money is well needed by all of those people in Haiti especially when we keep hearing of regular horrific updates that the victims are succumbed too. With over million people left homeless and no food to eat, we hope this money makes a difference.
