Eight Year Old Boy Wins Half a Million dollars through Online Poker

There is one question that everyone would like to know the answer for and that is if an eight year old boy really won the online poker tournament?

It was on the third day of the World Poker Tour bay 101 Shooting Star where the numbers of tables were reduced to six. There is a small tout who has paved his way to the final tables and that too with an astonishing second chip lead.

Although this news sounds really daft, it is true, and this could be a very revolutionary thing especially for younger players. An eight year old boy from India apparently won an online poker game winning him an amount of half a million dollars.

The boys mother Aashish Nanak said that the boy showed interest in computers right from the age of three. Astonishingly he even began building website when he was only four years and by six was into online poker. Paving the way for his built up interest could be the boys uncle. His uncle was the one who created the account for Aashish and this is what sparked the interest that kept the boy going. Currently the family is in a court in New Delhi trying to get the winning money out of the site that Aashish was playing on. The site wants to remain anonymous, but they don’t want to pay the boy because he is underage.

The information is not confirmed, but whatever it is, probably sites should create strict ways of determining their players age and confirming it.
